Charlotte Dove McCarthy

Vu.city

Charlotte is a business development manager at Vu.City  urban development planning platform.

She will be sharing information on plantech and how development teams can benefit from digital twins. Charlotte joined VU.CITY in late 2020 - previously, she worked in proptech and placetech. An international influencer in the proptech space,with a large network of innovators, she helped to support the UK government on digital workshops to help tackle major planning issues such as affordable housing delivery. She was born in the States, but has been living in the UK and Ireland for over 25 years. She has a keen interest in smart cities, sustainability, placemaking, and modern methods of construction. 

Charlotte's talk will tell you everything you need to know about the Vu.City's 3D city models and how to use them to help speed up design, development and planning. With 27 of the 33 London boroughs already signed up - as well as top architects and consultants.

Simon Tilsiter

Managing Director, Strettons

Simon is an experienced property asset manager with an eye for detail and adding value. He has 28 years of experience in all aspects of property management, auction, agency services and professional valuation advice. Simon is a registered property receiver and a qualified property manager. He brings his skills to bear on client work, helping to run Strettons and as a voluntary board member of a housing association.

Simon joined Strettons' Auction Department in 1990 and rose through the ranks until joining the Professional Department in 1993. Here, he worked on lease renewals, rent reviews, compulsory purchase, planning, acquisition advice, valuations, party wall and expert evidence work.

In 1998, Simon was appointed Director and has been leading the Management Department in property portfolio and asset management, professional work, tendering for and setting up new instructions. Additionally, Simon acts as LPA/Fixed Charge Receiver and works on new ways to develop the business.

In his spare time, he is a keen off-road cyclist, occasional skier and Krav Magar enthusiast. Most of his free time is spent with his family and 3 teenage daughters, but you may also find him sitting on an RICS panel.

Stephen Collins

Formerly of The Bank of England

Born 1951 and educated at Stationers’ Company’s School, Trinity College, Cambridge (MA Economics) and LSE (MSc Accounting and Finance).

 

Joined Bank of England in 1972.  In the course of the next 44 years did twenty different jobs, including two spells on secondment to the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.

 

Among roles at the Bank, I was Assistant Private Secretary to the Governor, Head of the European Division, Head of the Business Continuity Division and Agent for South West England.  I was also Alternate Member of the Monetary Committee in Brussels and Alternate Council Member of the European Monetary Institute in Frankfurt.

 

At the IMF I was Personal Assistant to the Managing Director (1983-5) and later Alternate UK Director on the Board (1998-2002).

Neil Sinclair

Neil has over 50 years’ experience in the property sector. He was a founder of Sinclair Goldsmith Chartered Surveyors which was admitted to the Official List in 1987 and subsequently merged with Conrad Ritblat in 1993, when he became Executive Deputy Chairman. Neil was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Baker Lorenz, surveyors in 1999 and which was sold to Hercules Property Services plc in 2001. He was appointed a Non-Executive Director of Tops Estates plc, a fully listed company, in 2003 and remained so until it was sold to Land Securities plc in 2005. He was one of the founders of Mission Capital plc, now Watchstone Group plc, which was admitted to AIM in 2005, and was Executive Chairman until February 2008. He was also featured in ‘Top 100 Property People in Property Week’ in 2003.
